  1. WARNING!! Some of our dashes require you to drill holes into your car. Please be sure to verify what is behind the area you are drilling to prevent damage to your car, or injury to yourself. Failure to do this could result in injury or death.

ALWAYS!! Wear proper safety equipment and personal protective gear when using hand and power tools.

Please read the installation instructions fully before beginning your project.

    1. If you have purchased our radio dash it is evident you plan to add electronics to your car. Automotive radios and speakers are designed to run on 12 volt electrical systems. Golf cars operate on a variety of voltages 36, 48, 72 volts etc. If you are not sure how to wire your new radio to your car with our dash please seek professional help to ensure a proper 12 volt hook up. (Failure to heed this advice could be very expensive.) If you plan to do the install yourself please disconnect the main power from your car while you are working.

    2. Remove the steering wheel cover and the steering wheel from the car.

    3. Remove the Allen bolt that is holding the cup holder onto the dash.

    4. Remove the cup holders by lifting up and unsnapping the cup holder from the dash.

    5. Remove the 5 plastic rivets from the top leading edge of the car. ( you are now ready to begin the installation process)

    6. Test fit the new dash onto the car. The dash was designed with a simple circular hole around the steering column. If you have an aftermarket sleeve, wiring harness, horn, or turn signal mounted onto your car you may have to modify the hole for the steering column to allow for proper fit of the new dash onto your car.

    7. Slide the main body of the dash over the steering column and into place on the car. Verify that the 5 rivet holes on the leading edge match those on the car. Also confirm that the bottom edge of the dash fits snugly onto the floor. Pay special attention to the area around the accelerator and brake pedals. Ensure you have total clearance in that area.

    8. Now that you have verified that the main dash body fits where it needs to, you are ready to begin installing the dash. With the main dash body in place line up and install the the 5 supplied plastic rivets on the top leading edge of the dash.

    9. Install the plastic radio housing into the area where the stock cup holders were located. Slide the two tabs into the slots on the main dash body. Using the original Allen bolt, tighten the radio housing and the main radio dash body down onto the stock Yamaha dash.

    10. With the top secure, you can now install the screws in the 5 locations on the bottom of the main dash body running along the floor.

    11. Now that the dash is hard mounted you are ready to install your radio and speakers. ( if you do not already have a radio and speakers see the fine products that we carry on our site)

    12. Please be sure to check and confirm that your sound system is installed properly and is hooked up to a 12 volt system before you restore the main power to your car. Failure to do this could result in ruining your new radio and speakers as well as causing electrical damage to your car or possibly bodily damage to yourself.

    13. With your electrical system double checked you are ready to hook up your main power.

    14. Once you have confirmed the radio and speakers are working properly you can now install the cup holder onto the top of the dash. Slide the cup holder down over the bolt protruding out of the radio housing. With the cup holder in place use the supplied thumb screw wing nut to secure the dash components together. Install the supplied foam covered panel with the Velcro strip and you are done.

    15. Re-install your steering wheel at this time and you’re ready to roll.

When people ask you where you got that dash? Be sure to let them know. “you got it from www.vipgolfcars.com
