WARNING!! Some of our dashes require you to drill holes into your car. Please be sure to verify what is behind the area you are drilling to prevent damage to your car, or injury to yourself. Failure to do this could result in injury or death.

ALWAYS!! Wear proper safety equipment and personal protective gear when using hand and power tools.

Please read the installation instructions fully before beginning your project.

    1. If you have purchased our radio dash it is evident you plan to add electronics to your car. Automotive radios and speakers are designed to run on 12 volt electrical systems. Golf cars operate on a variety of voltages 36, 48, 72 volts etc. If you are not sure how to wire your new radio to your car with our dash please seek professional help to ensure a proper 12 volt hook up. (Failure to heed this advice could be very expensive.) If you plan to do the install yourself please disconnect the main power from your car while you are working.

    2. Remove the stock cup holder assembly from the car. With the top removed you will need to modify the bottom half of the cup holder assembly with a cutting tool. (Be sure to use proper safety equipment and the proper tools to modify the car)

    3. Remove any light switches or gauges you may have installed onto the stock dash. (our dashes are designed with customizers in mind. You can re-install the switches and gauges into our dashes in the location of your preference. )

    4. Slide the dash over the steering column to test fit the new dash onto the car. Insert the tabs on the lower edge of our dash into the bottom edge of the stock glove box area. ( While dry fitting the dash it is helpful to have an extra set of hands to hold the dash in place while you mark the locations of the mount holes in the tabs. A silver marker works great.)

    5. Once you have marked the location of the mounting holes and tabs onto your stock dash remover the new dash so you can drill your mounting holes. (REMEMBER, be very careful not to drill into essential equipment such as wiring harnesses when drilling your installation holes.)

    6. You are now ready to finalize your install. Christmas tree fasteners work great with this dash. With your dash reinstalled align the holes in the dash with the holes you have marked and drilled and push the Christmas tree fasteners into the holes.

    7. Now that the dash is hard mounted you are ready to install your radio and speakers. ( if you do not already have a radio and speakers see the fine products that we carry on our site)

    8. Please be sure to check and confirm that your sound system is installed properly and is hooked up to a 12 volt system before you restore the main power to your car. Failure to do this could result in ruining your new radio and speakers as well as causing electrical damage to your car or possibly bodily damage to yourself.

    9. With your electrical system double checked you are ready to hook up your main power and enjoy your new radio dash.

When people ask you where you got that dash? Be sure to let them know. “you got it from www.vipgolfcars.com
